The Cold War Bunker on the estate...

Did you know there is a bunker under the grassy enclosures in front of Haddo House? You might have noticed the small building that houses the entrance, sitting behind a well-used bench. Look more closely and you'll spot the ventilation shafts dotted around the park, giving you an idea of the size of the building. It is huge, with 8 rooms including kitchen, scientific advisors room, signals rooms and bathrooms.

We know a little about the history of Camden Borough Control but what of it's future. Some local residents are keen to see the building restored and brought into community use.​
